Holy Water
To blow you
away, like dandelions
or up
like red balloons
Candidly, I profess
to cast upon you, the nightly blaze of my flair
to fan a flame at your unchaste desire.
Cage my heart shut
behind our rising tower of affairs
To take to kneeling at your service
where every inch of you
I worship.
Bear me sacred as your saint,
Evening falls, the moonlight faint
Unclench your fingers,
for I am
the answer to your prayers.
One sweet caress,
and you shall be blessed
cross my heart
you shall never rest
'til the scripture of my love is finished
with you
my hymns swell your temple and unwind you
loose.
Your chamber angel,
unbounded of a honey-tinted halo,
or radiant silver wings
yet a gift I possess, of greater brilliance
of a revelation, purer than a sinner
for deep you will swim
in holy water.
Sprinkle your holy water,
every last drop of mercy
bestowed upon me,
release yourself in grace
when I beg to be saved.
Your name, I will shout
in the most highest praise
when deep we swim together
in holy water.
